Malaga!

Dear readers,

I am turning 27 this coming Tuesday, October 2 and as a pre-birthday gift my parents decided to give me a get-away to...MALAGA!

Honestly, I can REALLY use the time away to enjoy the sun, the beach, good food, some shopping, quality time with my family and who knows what else!

I am leaving today and I am going for 5 days, but I'll make sure to post regularly on this blog.

Talk to you soon and as always, if any of you have great tips for where to go in Malaga, let me know!

Love, Melissa

LFW 2: Mary Katrantzou

Dear readers,

I think Mary Katrantzou is such a great fashion designer and I love the fact that just by looking at her designs I can always tell where she got her inspiration from. This time I am guessing it has something do with ethnic prints and post stamps! ;) I see Aztec prints, Egyptian prints and designs, Japanese prints and designs and some fabulous shoes :D I am loving the versatility of this collection!

You agree with me?

LFW 2012: Acne

Dear readers,

I am normally much more impressed by the collection of Acne then this time around. Is it just me or...? Have a look and decide for yourself!

What I do like in this collection are the bags and the design of the trousers (with the little details around the area of the anckle!).

Would love to hear your opinion on this one!

LFW 2012: Topshop Unique

Dear readers,

What do you think of the Topshop Unique collection they presented in London during Fashion Week 2012? See the pictures below for an overview of the collection!

As you can see, it is a really clean collection. Not too much colors nor prints. I am not extremely fond of this collection, but I do like the pieces, especially the silver trousers pictured in photo 2.

How about you?

LFW 2012: Burberry Prorsum

Dear readers,

Yesterday was the last post dedicated to New York Fashion Week 2012, so as we are saying goodbye to another awesome fashion week of New York, we welcome the catwalks looks as seen in London during London Fashion Week 2012, starting with Burberry Prorsum!

The shoulder area was definitely Christopher Bailey's inspiration for Burberry Prorsum's Spring/Summer 2013 collection. We see this area highlighted in almost every look. Aside from that, he also used a lot of shiny fabrics. Have a look for yourself!

Do you like this collection? What is your favourite piece? I love the white cape of picture 2, the white trenchcoat (picture 4) and the beige trenchcoat (last picture).

LFW 2012: Vivienne Westwood

Dear readers,

Vivienne Westwood's Spring/Summer 2013 collection, named "Climate Revolution", was one hell of a show! Heavily painted faces, 50's inspired pieces, wigs...it was all included in the show. It kind of felt as though I was watching the movie 'Grease' at times :P Check the collection out for yourself and let me know if you get what I mean with that.

Love, Melissa

P.S. Even though this collection is not my cup of tea at all, it sure is interesting to watch!

Aila Wang!

Dear readers,

When reading this name, you might think: WHO??? Yep, I wasn't familiar with this little lady either, but it's a little lady to keep an eye on, 'cause she sure knows how to dress! What a phenomenal girl! :) Ok, let's be honest, if I was Alexander Wang's niece I would probably look as fashionable as she does, but still...this is just too cute! What do you think?

Too cute, right?

NYFW 2012: Vera Wang

Dear readers,

Eastern exoticism is what comes to mind when I first saw the Spring/Summer 2013 collection of fashion designer Vera Wang. She managed to capture it in a very modern and wearable way and I really adore this collection! My favourites? This is a hard one :) I love the white blazer seen in the first picture (love all the buttons) and the total outfits of picture 2 and 5. Velvet is HOT!

What's your favourite piece of this collection?

Love, Melissa
