Dear readers,
Today is THE day! We're really heading towards 2012 now! How futuristic does that sound! So, this year has been a rollercoaster for me! I have had many not so great personal issues to deal with, but I also had some really great personal breakthroughs. And of course...2011 marked the birth of this blog and my nephew Milo! :) Wonderfull stuff hehe :P
So, I wanted to share with you why I feel it is important for every single one of us to have new year's resolutions. It has everything to do with the Laws of Attraction - everything we bring into the world, we get back! Key here is to actually sit down, think about the things you really want to see happening in your life and to write these down. And not just write them down in haste, NO, really think about the way you want to formulate this. It has to be in a positive and personal way, with positive and specific words AND it has to be in the present tense - as if it is already happening in your life! TRUST ME...IT WORKS!!!
Enough about resolutions! Lets move on to NOW and tonight! What are your plans? I'm going to a friends place in Amsterdam for dinner and some drinks and from there we will all (a group of 8 friends) go to a houseparty called "Amsterdam United", which I think will be an awesome way to start of 2012! Here a video of where you can find me tonight :)
I hope all of you will have an amazing evening with your loved ones and please, watch those fireworks! Also, let me know how your new year's resolutions turned out for you!
Love, Melissa

My picks from the Versace for H&M Collection
Dear readers,
I forgot to post some pictures of the things I bought from the Versace for H&M Collection, but it is never too late, right? So here they are!
As you can see I bought the tropical Hawaiian-look dress and the ring. Both kind of extravagant, but really Versace and also really me! :) I really love the dress because of its style, its print, its fabric and its top notch quality! The ring I love because of its outspokenness. Still not sure of the occassion as to when to where it, but I'm sure I'll find an event ;)
What do you think of these two items? Was it one of your favourites also?
Love, Melissa

Listen to the voice within!
Dear readers,
Those of you who read my blog on a regular basis know how much I love quotes. I think they make us aware of the deeper things in life aside from just being beautiful! Today's quote is really about loving and accepting yourself fully for the person you are, regardless of what other people say or may think. John Demartini really knows how to phrase this in a beautiful way, check it out:

Love all that is you!

How was your Christmas this year?
Dear readers,
Thank you all for being the loyal readers that you are and thank you for being YOU! I had a wonderful Christmas this year, how about you? In Holland we don't really celebrate Christmas Eve on the 24th, but rather on the 25th. The 26th is the second Christmas day here...I know, a bit strange, but can't make any more out of it ;)
So, first Christmas day I had this wonderful Gala Dinner with a few friends of mine. I thought it would be nice to "break" with the tradition for once and not go to my parents house, but instead have a lovely, relaxing dinner with some close friends. We had such a great time that I am actually thinking about making this a new Christmas tradition. Do you guys have a tradition that may not be the "box-fitted tradition"? Second Christmas day I went to my parents house and had a great night as well...great company, great food and great presents :)
What did Santa bring me this year? Among other things, my newly found favourite perfume "Sunset" by Hugo Boss (which really reminds me of the cold winter days because of its warm scent)...
...and THE ANGELIC RING from Swarovski!!! SO FREAKING HAPPY WITH IT!!! Such a beautiful piece! Do yo love it?

Interesting facts...
Dear readers,
I love to learn new things, especially things that stick with you and are easy to share with others. That's why for today's post I thought it would be nice to do something completely different: summing up some cool and interesting facts! I am hoping these are indeed things from which you guys can learn a thing or two :)
So, did you know that...:
* the smallest country in the world is only 0.44 km2? Yep, it is really true, Vatican City is only 0.44 km2 and has 826 inhabitants.
* in the world of sea horses it is not the woman, but the man who becomes pregnant? Cool huh?!
* minus 89,2 degrees Celsius the coldest temperature ever measured is? If you don't like the cold weather, avoid Antartica...BRRR!
* Donald Duck's comic books were prohibited in Finland for a couple of months due to economic problems? However, shortly after, the comic books reappeared in the stores and Donald Duck became extremely popular in Finland.
* The electrical chair has been invented by a dentist?
Of course, there are so many other interesting facts, but for now I leave you with these five.
Does any of you know any other interesting facts? I would love to hear them!

Rocking residence
Dear readers,
A couple of months ago I got this really cool headphone which not only looks nice but produces some nice sounds as well. They are from "Rocking Residence". I was looking at other designs from this brand and they actually have a lot of great designs. A plus is the price...still affordable, namely between 20 and 30 euros.
Do you like them? If so and if you are interested in having one, you can buy them online, a lot of stores already have them!

Act on that!
Dear readers,
When you take an honest look at your life and know deep within that you are not doing what you would love to do, think of the following quote by Rumi and act on it:
"Let yourself be silently drawn by the stronger pull of what you really love."
Only then life will unfold to you in its best way and only then will you love life exactly as it is, without wanting to change anything or without feeling anxious.
I wish all of you the greatest life possible!

Versace for H&M - cruise collection
Dear readers,
Nope, the collaboration between H&M and Versace is not over yet! Versace will also launch a collection in January: the cruise collection! I took a look at it and I honestly have to say that I am not really fond of it. How about you? For those of you who haven't seen it yet, here a preview of a part of the collection!

For me the only pieces which are quite cute are the flat shoes and the heels with the fruits on it. But would I actually buy them....probably not.
