Dear readers,
As I wrote before, september 1 I will be going on holiday. Guess what? Today is the day! Time flew! I so long for a break! I can't wait to discover all these new places!
So, first my boyfriend and I will be going to New York for 4 days, then we will fly to Las Vegas and stay there for 5 days. From Las Vegas we will drive to San Diego (2-day stop), LA (2-day stop), Paso Robles (this is in the wine area, also just 2 days), Yosemite N.P. (2-day stop) and last, but not least, San Francisco. In San Fran we will be staying for 4 days. How cool, right?!
So, wish me a good flight and a nice vacay and I promise I will do my best to write you a couple of times :)
Lots of love!
Melissa
P.S. Oh, and if any of you has some great tips for the places mentioned above, please let me know! All tips are welcome!

August's top finds @ Fashiolista
Dear readers,
This months top finds are as follow:
Western suede gilet (trendme.net)
Blue / purple bag (musthaves.dk)
Alexander Wang assymetric top (theoutnet.com)
Which of the above is your favourite?
Mine is the assymetric top. I think the assymetric theme in clothes is really cool. It looks so simple, but it makes clothes a bit more edgy.
Love, Melissa
P.S. You can find these items on my Fashiolista page!

The journey of life!
Dear readers,
The journey of life is an interesting journey, one which you should only share with people you love and who love you back!
Those people will uplift you when things in life are not that great.
Those people will stand by you even when they don't agree with you.
Those people will have your back when others don't.
Those people will laugh with you and will cry with you, depending on the circumstances.
Those people will accept you for who you are.
Those people will not have the intention to change you into someone you are not.
Those people are the people who truly love you!
Can you say you are being surrounded by only those people or are you also surrounded by people who may not have the best interest for you?
Here a quote which I think suits perfectly with what I've written here above.
"Travel only with thy equals or thy betters; if there are none, travel alone."
- The Dahmmapada
Think about it! And let me know the outcome!
Love, Melissa

V Festival!
Dear readers,
Festivals are awesome, don't you think?! Aside from that, it's a real source of inspiration, because you get to see all kinds of people with a different taste in fashion. Here some pictures from visitors of the V Festival.
What do you think of their style? And what do you wear when going to a festival?
Love, Melissa

LIVE!!!
Dear readers,
Sometimes we get so caught up in things which are not only not good for us, but which also keeps us at a standstill in life. It's so easy to let time pass by us, but remember this: we do not get to turn time back, so every minute which is lost in this standstill will NEVER EVER come back! Kinda scary, right? I know you don't want this, neither do I, so maybe this quote will help you and me overcome this process!
Good luck!
Love, Melissa
"Death tugs at my ear and says: "Live, I am coming."

Colour splash!
Dear readers,
Although I really love the colour black, sometimes I just want to spice things up with a splash of colour. It brightens your whole look up and you might even feel a bit happier when wearing colourful clothing rather than dark clothing. What better things to wear than the items featured hereunder to fulfill that?! My favourite? The striped bangles and the Missoni playsuit!
Love, Melissa
P.S. You can find all items on my Fashiolista page!
Missoni sweater (boutique1.com)
Oxford shoe by Nicholas Kirkwood (kirnazabete.com)
Missoni playsuit (boutique1.com)
Necklace by Antik Batik (littlesoho.nl)
Knotted shirt (zalando.com)
Striped bangles (rosenasammi.com)
Sequin off-shoulder dress by Halston heritage (net-a-porter.com)
Sandal (riverisland.com)
Skirt by Bottega Veneto (net-a-porter.com)

Yo-de-la-Hei-Di!
Dear readers,
The first time I saw Heidi Klum was in an ad campaign for H&M. Not much later, I couldn't get around her...she was EVERYWHERE!!! Now, she is hosting Project Catwalk, German's Next Top Model and I am sure there are many more things awaiting her! For now, lets take a look at this 38 year old German mother of four, wife of Seal, tv host and of course top model!
In the last picture, she was still pregnant with her fourth child. Doesn't she look amazing?
Love, Melissa

Dutch pride!
Dear readers,
Doutzen Kroes, a 26 year old Dutch girl, is one of worlds top models and we're really proud of her! And seriously, how could she not be a top model? She is really beautiful and has all the right shapes and sizes and she is, of course, really photogenic! She has been on the cover of - I think - all magazines, from Vogue to Elle to Harpers Bazaar and she is one of the girls from Victoria's Secret!
Last year, she got married with DJ Sunnery James and in January of this year she gave birth to a baby boy named Phyllon.
I have assorted some of her covers and other magazine photo shoots which she made since being a model. I hope you like it!
