Dear readers,
Oofff, we've not even passed summer yet, but I think it is always fun to see previews of collections, don't you? H&M has given its customers a sneak peek into their Fall collection and I think it is SO different from what I am used to see at H&M. Take a look for yourself!
From my perspective it is so much more edgyer (aside from the first photo), but I am totally loving it!
What do you guys think?

It's all about family!
Dear readers,
My family is of great importance to me! I don't know what I would do without them. They are the ones I want to see happy, they are the ones I wish only good things for, they are the ones I turn to whenever I need support, they are the ones with whom I can be 100% real, they are the ones (of course among others) that created the person I am today, they are the ones I have the most profound memories with, they are the ones that for me are the ONE!
So, as a tribute to my wonderful family, for today I picked a photo which represent a loving family! I hope you like it and I definitely hope you can relate to it!

Leopard print bag!
Dear readers,
I buy new things almost every week, although I really try to put a stop to this once in a while! ;) And there are some items that I just want to share with my readers, because I find them so cool! Like this leopard print bag from Oasis which I bought on Asos.com:
Isn't it just fab??? I am so happy with my new bag! I love the structure of the leather and I love the hairy print :) And of course, it is a large enough bag thus practical! Love combining this bag with flair jeans, sky high heels in black, a nude silk blouse with a black bra underneath it and some cool golden accessories!

DIY - Body scrub!
Dear readers,
I am staying in the theme of do it yourselves / homemade kind of stuff. Today a recipe for making your own body scrub, which I think is amazing since I like to know what the exact ingredients are of the stuff I rub on my body and face. Don't you? I actually made this homemade body scrub this past Saturday, so I could give it to my Mom for Mothersday :) And YES, she loved it and so did all her friends, so if you want to suprise somebody, this will absolutely do!
So now the recipe:
* Use 1 cup of oil (this can vary from body oil to olive oil to almond oil, just use whatever you like and whatever you feel smells good. I myself like to use a mixture of oils).
* Use 2 1/2 cups of sugar (use white if it is a gift, use brown, natural sugar if it is for yourself. White looks prettier, but natural sugar is of course healthier). Other recipes talk about salt, which you can use also. Make sure it is dead sea salt though since this is so much better for the skin and doesn't irritate it as much. I however like to use sugar instead, because I find that body scrubs with salt can burn the skin.
* Use the lemon zest of about 4 lemons. You can replace this with orange zest if you like.
* Some drops of a massage oil that smells good.
Mix these ingredients all together and look if it is compact enough. If not, throw in some more sugar. When you think it is compact enough, put it in a jar and in the fridge for around 4 hours. The latter shall make it even more compact.
Wrap it in a nice transparent foil with a cute bow and there you have it - something nice and luxurious to give away to that special person (this can be you too :D)! See how easy!

Homemade cupcakes!
Dear readers,
I am always into beautiful cakes and cupcakes, who isn't right?! But I have always wanted to make them myself, but didn't know how, so I decided to take a workshop decorating cupcakes. Yesterday was that day and I was really excited about it, curious as to how my cupcakes would look like in the end. I have to say that I am actually really happy with the end result and therefore really proud of myself! And the best part is that I now know that it is actually not that difficult and that I can do this by myself on one of those rainy Sunday's (did you see that metaphor?!)! Anyway, here the result :)

What do you think of my cupcakes??? Aside from them being easy on the eye, I can assure you that they were tasty too, there are just two left haha! Hmmm, maybe it is not a good idea to do this after all :P
Has any of you ever made cupcakes? If so, which decorations do you like to do? Please share some tips, I would love to hear them!

MET Gala 2012
Dear readers,
As always I was very curious as to what people decided to wear on the red carpet this year at the MET Gala which was held in the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. You too? I have listed my favourites here below. Have a look!
Aren't all these appearances just stunning? Which is your favourite? My favourite is Karolina Kurkova in the Rachel Zoe dress. It reminds me of ancient Egypt with it's rose gold allure and its turban...so chic! But no bad words about the other choices!!! I love the yellow of the Versace dress (summer 2012 proof!), the red in which Hilary Swank walked the red carpet and the turquoise of the dress by Carolina Herrera, the design of the Marc Bauer dress (so edgy!) and of the Emilio Pucci dress, the elegant flair of the Donna Karan dress and last but not least he futuristic design of the dress which Carey Mulligan chose to wear!
Love, Melissa
