Tattoos & Fashion!

Dear readers,

Where once upon a time tattoos were a big NO in fashion, it is now fully embraced by it! Models love them and don't feel the need to excuse themselves for it. They see it as an extension of themselves, an expression! So does Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, Elle and other prominent fashion magazines as you can see in the following shots!

What do you think of tattoos and fashion, do they go well together or not? And do you yourself have a tattoo?

I don't own any tattoos, although I do like them, just not on my body! ;) I think I would regret it...

Le Noir!

Vogue continues digging deeper into their dark side and I am actually kind of loving it! In the September issue of Vogue models Kate Moss and Saskia de Brauw both represent the gothic theme in a very "dark" shoot while wearing among other brands Dolce & Gabbana, Lanvin and Bottega Veneta.

Film noir!

Dear readers,

Daria Werbowy covers the cover of Vogue's september issue alongside Kate Moss and Lara Stone. I find this shoot the most amazing one out of the three, although all three covers are simply stunning! This shoot, shot by Mert & Marcus, reminds me of the era of film noir. I love it! What is your take on this shoot?

Doutzen Kroes rocks the June issue of Vogue China in an over-the-top swimwear editorial! She is not only wearing top notch swimwear designs, but also some heavy jewellery! Look at these shots in which the Dutch pride is wearing swimwear from Missoni, Dolce & Gabbana, Prada and Jason Wu.

Keeping it surreal!

Dear readers,

I came across the following editorial in Vogue and I found it kind of creepy yet intriguing. I thought you guys would like it! Funny thing is that I didn't even know the model is Dutch, I just found out while preparing this post. Cool, huh?! Her name is Laura Kaapman and with only 17 years old, she has already made it on the cover of Vogue, how amazing is that?! For sure we are gonna hear her name A LOT these coming years!
