Dutch summer!

Dear readers,

No, Dutch summer has still not come through as we are used to, but now and then the sun shines and we enjoy the outdoors as if there's no tomorrow :) I really enjoy taking pictures of those random days, you know...when you have a drink on a terrace, enjoying an ice cream by the lake or having a nice tour on my dad's boat. And of course, I also like sharing them with my dear readers. So here some shots I took these past few days. Hope you like them!

Inspiration!

<span class='fancyPhotoDesc'>There are only so many accessories a man can wear and still look manly. Tie bars, clips, pins, collar bars and cuff links fall into this category. A tie bar gives you a finished look and keeps your tie from flopping around. I’ve been collecting vintage tie bars long before the “Mad Men” craze. I swear I’m not on eBay’s payroll but that’s where you get them!</span><span class='fancyPhotoName'>Tie Bars, Vintage </span>

<span class='fancyPhotoDesc'>This is a selection of the antique books on top of the bureau in my dressing room that date back to the late 18th century. Some of them were from my husband’s grandfather, who was an avid collector of first edition novels; and, a few of the others are auctions buys.

<span class='fancyPhotoDesc'>One of my dear friends is a stylist for Usher! I was at her house and saw this YSL shirt on her clothing rack and grabbed it for myself. I purchased the hat while working at my salon in NY. It was during a snowstorm and I was freezing. I'm proud to say it only cost me $29.99 to rock this faux fur that definitely keeps me warm. </span><span class='fancyPhotoName'>Shirt, Yves Saint Laurent</span>

Nature in black & white

Dear readers,

Don't you just get as ease when walking on the beach, through a forest or in the desert? Nature is so lovely with all its seasons, colours, variety, animals, flowers, trees, plants, smells and so on! I love pictures of a beautiful, colourful scenery in nature, but I wanted to spice it up and therefore chose to show a collection of black and white pictures of nature, just because I feel it shows the tranquility and also the roughness of nature. I hope you like it!
