Welcoming Milo into this world!

Dear readers,

Today my sister gave birth to a babyboy!!! They named him Milo Thomas and I can't wait to see him, hug him, care for him and give him a 1000 kisses! I'm not only his aunt, but also his godmother...how cool is that?!
I just wanted to welcome my new nephew into this world and hope he will have a magnificent life and may all his dreams and more come true for him! I wish him prosperity, health and LOVE!

Yosemite!

Dear readers,

Yosemite was in two words amazing and overwhelming. Amazing because of its beauty, overwhelming because of the crowdiness! I never expected the park to be this busy. There were even traffic jams...WTF! That was a bit of a bummer actually!

I did like going back to basic, although 2 days were enough :) I guess I'm more the hotel-type-of-girl :P
We went rafting which was really nice and we went hiking which was really though! Both nights we barbecued and it was DELICIOUS!!!
What I really loved were all the animals running around, curious as they are!

I found Yosemite to be one of the most beautiful places on this earth and would not have missed it for anything!

Take a look at the pictures and you cannot but agree with me :)

Winter Wonderland!

Dear readers,

Last night I got back from my trip to Spain. The trip itself was very productive, unfortunately, the weather was not as great as I hoped it would be. I just had one day of sun, the other days were filled with tons of rain! So, nothing more to do than to prepare for the upcoming winter.
With these pics by Terry Richardson of Hungarian model Eniko Mihalik for Harper Bazaar US that should not be a problem!

Let's have a glass of wine!

Dear readers,

We thought it would be fun to do a mix of activities and relaxation on our holiday and so we decided to make a two day stop in Paso Robles, a wine area just between Los Angeles and San Francisco, close to a beautiful coast line.
I actually wanted to surprise my boyfriend with a hot air balloon ride, but unfortunately it couldn't go forward due to foggy weather. We were so dissapointed, but wanted to make the best of our day, so we decided to go on the hop on, hop off wine tour bus...LOL! And I have to be honest, it was such a good replacement of the hot air balloon ride...we had such a blast!!! Plus it was one of those few days on my holiday in which I felt so relaxed, and a bit drunk ;)

Hereunder some photos of the different wineries and of course the beautiful surroundings!

Wintertime!

Dear readers,

I love combining shorts with a knitted sweater. I think it looks so comfy, edgy and out-of-the-box. And which season lends itself more for these type of clothes than wintertime?! EXACTLY!!! Here some inspiration! You can find all these pieces on my Fashiolista page, as always!

Adios!

Dear readers,

In 2 hours I'm headed to the airport for a business trip, this time it's to Spain. First stop will be in Alicante and from there I will go to Malaga. I'll be back this Sunday, so don't be surprised if you don't see any posts these coming days! You now know why!

Can't wait to enjoy the sun for a bit and eat great tapas!

See you soon!

Our heritage!

"May my spirit be fragrant as this flower! May I always remember that as this flower fades, so will my body die; may my life on earth be more than body!"

I came across this quote in a book some time ago and could not hold it from you. I thought it was so beautiful and meaningful!

Make sure you leave things behind in this life that will remain vivid! Those things are the worthiest things of life!

Inspiration!

There are only so many accessories a man can wear and still look manly. Tie bars, clips, pins, collar bars and cuff links fall into this category. A tie bar gives you a finished look and keeps your tie from flopping around. I’ve been collecting vintage tie bars long before the “Mad Men” craze. I swear I’m not on eBay’s payroll but that’s where you get them!Tie Bars, Vintage

I purchased the hat while working at my salon in NY. It was during a snowstorm and I was freezing. I'm proud to say it only cost me $29.99 to rock this faux fur that definitely keeps me warm. Shirt, Yves Saint Laurent

Sometimes a photo can say more than words! I love inspirational pictures and thought it would be fun to make a collage for today and maybe for some other posts as well. Do you like this topic?

The City of Angels!

Dear readers,

Just a short stay in LA, but already so impressive! We had delicious tapas at the Farmers Market, had some fun at the hotel swimming pool, went to both parks of Disney Land and attended the amazing show "Cirque du Soleil - Iris" at the famous Kodak Theatre. Of course, we also did some sightseeing, but these were the major things we did while being in LA.
Next post of my vacation in the USA will be about Paso Robles, a wine area!

Have fun checking my pictures!

Love, Melissa
